Loving Halloween!

So we spent our Sunday catching up on chores and homework.
Stella's sutures are out, so it was finally bath time.
We went to Bento's for dinner, which was my last supper for hopping back on my diet. The last stretch of the Special K plan helped me lose 7 pounds in almost two weeks, so I'm going to lay off the cupcakes for a while.

After my spicy cream chicken and boba tea splurge, we stopped by the pumpkin patch!
We rushed to use the last hour of daylight, and carved our masterpieces.
We have also been competing in a door decoration contest to win $50 off next months rent!!

Stella <3 after a bath and playing in the dirt of course

Alsooo, I find some more Amy Winehouse pictures

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween 2011

HALLOWEEN 2011

Its been a hectic week in the ville.
I'm still getting adjusted to blogging, and I'm trying to fit it into my already busy schedule, which is the excuse for my absence this week. Halloween is right around the corner, but the costume parties have already begun!
This year I decided to pay a tribute to the beautiful and talented Amy Winehouse.
I was tempted to go with my natural red hair and wear a bump it to pull off the beehive, but I found this "rehab" wig at the last minute. Unfortunately, the wig only stayed on for a few hours on account of the heat and dancing.
My make-up was inspired from this picture.
I took a simple black liquid eyeliner to create the wings and thick eye liner, followed with Loreal Lash Blast Mascara.
I picked up a rust/red lipstick from Wet n' Wild, and glossed with Loreal Juicy Tube.
I took a gemstone and used false lash glue to create the piercing.
I ended with my foundation routine which I'll show at a later time.

Unfortunately we didn't get a lot of pictures, but I'll have more of my next two costumes.

Hello Fall!

October in Gainesville is more than just falling leaves and crazy Halloween parties; its the transition from short to long, thin to thick, and slimming to layered. Inspired by beauty gurus and youtube fashionistas alike, I'm starting my fashion blog during no better time but Fall.

FALL 2011 MOST WEARABLE TRENDS: DAY ONE

It may seem intimidating to rock this color if you lack the "right" hair color or skin tone,  but accesorizing the right way will make this trendy Fall look a showstopper. I love the transition from Summer to Fall when the colors of the season are expressed in your closet. Say goodbye to the pinks and florals of Summer, and hello to the mustard yellow, hunter green, and brown palettes of Fall!
